By that I mean you cannot be moving forward and hitting attack as you''l just do a basic attack. But, be sure you are standing still when you mash attack. Afterwards, you need to run up close to them and hit your basic attack. You need to shoot them with your gun just as they are about to attack, this puts them in a stun state. They are super easy to parry as they're attacks wind up real slow. You should practice it on those big hulking fat enemies that wield like a hammer in one arm. I'll say the one thing you should be mastering early on with BB is the gun-parry. Simply remain calm and observe your enemies. Panicking is your worst enemy, when you panic you forget everything you've learned and start either trying to just bash your way through something or dodge/roll constantly with no pattern. Once you put the time and and grasp the basic systems, everything will click and you will truly fall in love with the game and the series. It serves no one to ask for a change in his style to fit a standard you can find so often in the industry. His games would be worse without him doing it the way he enjoys it. This is how Miyazaki likes to tell his stories, even Déraciné, which is much more story-driven, still features many of the same elements. I read every item, multiple times, on multiple playthroughs, I'm one of the weirdos who memorized most of the dialogue and item descriptions in Bloodborne, who still find out new details here and there after hundreds and hundreds of hours with the game, and it's such a joy to me, an experience that I don't find anywhere else in the industry, save for a few games directly influenced by the Souls series. I'm one of these few individuals who take the setps. It doesn't have to be that one of us is pretending.īut I'd argue that at least you can find a lot of the kind of narrative you enjoy the most in this medium. You think it's trash, I think it's great, we're both right. We just disagree on this, it's totally fine. These enemies come in several variations and can be found in many of the different locations in Bloodborne.It's definitely reasonable, but it can get a bit unreasonable when people start with the tired "stop pretending it's good" posts. It's recommended to take these out first before taking the rest out
